6th Anniversary

On August 17th Dan and I celebrated our 6th Anniversary with a low key day running around Seattle preparing for our Europe trip. I surprised Dan with tickets to the Real Madrid soccer match in Madrid for our trip. He was super excited!!

Cascade Country Cook Off

After Mark and Erin's wedding we drove straight to Chehalis for Dan and Dad's annual BBQ competition in Chehalis. This year they placed 4th in pulled pork and had a great time as always.

The competition also had a car show which Dad won a trophy for his 55 Chevy

Mark and Erin's Wedding

On August 9th we headed to Vashon Island for the wedding of our friends Mark and Erin. We met Mark on our last trip to Europe in Venice and have been friends ever since. Dan was a groomsmen, the MC, and did a reading during the wedding. One of the quotes Dan read at the wedding was by Dr. Suess: "You know you're in love when you can't sleep because your reality is finally better than your dreams." I loved it :)

The wedding was outside at the home of Erin's parents. It was a beautiful wedding in spite of the major downpour of rain that took place immediately after the wedding. We all hovered under the white tents until it passed. We had a fun time meeting their other friends and dancing the evening away.

The wedding party. All of the dresses including Erin's were made by a woman in Vashon Island

The downpour...this picture doesn't even do it justice as it rained the hardest I had seen in a long time

85 Stoners Annual Block Party

On August 5th we had our third annual 85 Stoner block party as August 5th is designated as the national neighborhood night out. We had a blast barbecuing and catching up with the stoners.

Joshua James @ Triple Door

On August 3rd Daniel and I headed back to the Triple Door to see Dan's favorite singer/songwriter, Joshua James. The show started at 8 and ended after 11pm. Jessie Baylin and Cory Chisel opened the show. It was a great show!!

Dine and Dash

On July 21st I had lunch with my college roomie, Kelly, who was visiting her family from L.A. We had a fabulous lunch at Yarrow Bay in Kirkland and we got to gabbing so much that we thought we had paid the bill, but apparently not. We were taking pictures down by the water when the waitress ran out to settle the bill...oops!!!
